With every passing day, it seems like we add another team or two to the list of parties interested in acquiring Texas Rangers ace Yu Darvish, who will qualify for free agency at season's end. The looming question, then, hasn't been whether the Rangers could move Darvish if they wanted to, but if they'll decide that they indeed do want to make a deal. Basically every contending team has been linked to Darvish: the Dodgers, Yankees, Cubs, Nationals, and Brewers included. He's almost certain to be the most sought-after starting pitcher on the market, even with his rental status.
MLB trade rumors: Marlins open to trading Dan Straily
According to Jeff Passan of Yahoo Sports, the Marlins now open to trading right-handed starter Dan Straily. One suitor has already emerged for Straily, according to USA Today's Bob Nightengale. Miami had previously expressed an unwillingness to move Straily, but the weak market for starting pitching caused them to re-consider. The Marlins acquired Straily this offseason from the Reds in exchange for a crop of prospects: pitchers Luis Castillo and Austin Brice as well as outfielder Isaiah White.
