Christyn Williams of Central Arkansas Christian is the 2017-18 Gatorade Arkansas Girls Basketball Player of the Year. Williams is the 2nd Gatorade Arkansas Girls Basketball Player of the Year to be selected from Central Arkansas Christian School. Lakewood's Camilla Emsbo named girls basketball player of the year

referring to Lakewood senior Camilla Emsbo has been named Colorado's Gatorade girls basketball player of the year. Emsbo, a six-foot-five senior, helped Lakewood go 23-four & reach the Class 5A last four this past season. She averaged 18.one points, seven.eight rebounds, three.six blocks, one.seven steals & one.seven assists per game. Emsbo only the 2nd Lakewood athlete to ever be honored as a Gatorade player of the year, next Darrin Muilenburg, who won the football award in 1985-86. "Camilla is one of those children who makes her team better, makes the players around her better," said Columbine coach Greg Bolding.
