(AP) — A college men's tennis coach in North Carolina has been pending after 1 of his players made a racially found guilty comment to an opposing player. The Winston-Salem Journal reports Appalachian State University athletics officials reported Tuesday which coach Bob Lake was pending following a description of the incident. In addition to the suspension, Appalachian State Chancellor Sheri Everts is calling for an assessment of the school's diversity & inclusion practices. Brown, who's white, was pending indefinitely after Sunday's match by John Wilson of North Carolina A&T State University, a historically black college.
